Today I took the girls to see the Arizona Ballet. They did Tchaikovky's Swan Lake. I am familiar with the music, but I've never seen the whole ballet. It was fantastic! Plus I was overdue for a live orchestra performance. Double bonus for me.
The girls were so excited to go. They each did their nails and Brookie put on makeup. Without asking, but she did a good job and looked cute.
We ended up at IHOP again because I knew the girls would eat their food. And I wasn't going to McDonald's. It was enjoyable to sit and talk with them while we ate.
The nice usher at Symphony Hall saw metaking pics of the girls and offered to take one of all of us. It was fun to share today with the girls.
Our view. We were up on the balcony. Which were great seats. You didn't have to worry about someone's big head in front of you, blocking your view. Cailee was a little nervous at first because we were up so high. I don't know where she gets that from (I don't get scared of heights. Ever).
Before the performance started, I had the girls wander up and down the stairs and across empty rows to get out some energy. It worked. For the first act.
They really did well. It was a long performance. They got really restless during the slow parts, but focused during the fast and loud parts. They both want to see another ballet. We will see what comes up. It was so fun to be with them today.
