~Day 307: Lunch Drama

Today we invited ourselves to Jean's house for lunch. Ourselves=girls at work. We were all excited to meet her new baby, Lola. She's a tiny chihuahua. So cute! She got so excited to meet us that she decided to go for a swim in the pool. Ok, she fell in. Poor baby.

Jean jumped in after her. And Gini was there for moral support lol

Mama is comforting the scared and shivering girl. The cute thing eventually dried off (quicker than Jean did).

Mama telling baby we don't want to be scared of our visitors because we end up in the pool... Or something like that. She eventually warmed up to some of us. Cute little puppy!!  It was a fun lunch. A much needed break.

I have to add this because it's so great. I let the kids buy school lunch once a week.  I only deposit $15 at a time per kid because it will last for a few weeks. Or it's supposed to.

I got a notice that Ashton's balance was very low. And only after a few days. Turns out he bought lunch four days in a row.  I asked him this morning why he was buying, when I knew he took lunch from home.

He said, "It should only be $1.60 because it's second lunch." (Regular lunch is $2.45)

Me: "Second lunch?"

A: "Yeah. I was still hungry so I got second lunch."

Me: "lol second lunch counts only if you buy first lunch. It doesn't matter that you are eating YOUR second lunch."

A: "I was hungry."

I love this little man!  He thought because he already ate the lunch he brought that he wouldn't be charged full price. We talked about what second lunch really meant. We talked about him taking more for lunch the next day if he thought he would still be hungry.

Tonight he told me he thought I was mad at him. But how can you be upset with that logic? I love the way he thinks.
