Today we headed over to Nick's grandparents' house in Aberdeen. We are having the Frank Wallace family reunion. There will be close to 70 people here this week.
Cailee and Brookie were so tired and so whiney, we wished they would fall asleep on the ride over. We drove a few extra minutes so they could sleep and be pleasant when they woke up.
We were putting out offers for people to take these sweet little monkeys.... But decided to keep them.
I'm the yard there is a huge rope swing attached to a very large tree. The kids played on this for hours.
They even got brave and jumped off the large stump.
Cailee spent the most time out of anyone on the thing. She sure loves to swing. She told me something later in the day that melted my heart. She said, "Mommy, it's more fun with you here." What a sweet thing to say. I did have fun playing with the kids today.
There is a platform attached to the tree that only the brave attempt to climb and jump off. Here are cousins AshLynn, Jaden, and Dexton getting ready to jump.
Somehow I was talked into jumping. Unfortunately there is only a video of me and not a still shot. I was scared because I hate heights, but it was fun! AshLynn convinced me I do it again, so I jumped twice. It was great!
We also had a rousing game of Kubb. Fun game where you try to knock over each other's wooden blocks by tossing wooden dowels at them. This is an addicting game.
While we played Kubb, the other kids ran around and played. This scene was very common with the little girls always together.
It's been so nice to get to see so much of Nick's extended family. Looking forward to two more days!
