~Day185: Vacation 4th

Day started with the kids beginning their Bryce Canyon Junior Ranger adventure.

They were so fun on our hike around the Navajo Loop, a 1.3 mile hike. They were such troopers today. We are not used to the higher altitudes anymore... But they finished strong!

More Navajo Loop.  It was so much fun to walk and talk with each other. I loved hearing the different observations of each child. Kept me entertained.

Junior Rangers!

We made a stop in Salina to visit my grandparents. I had to go by the cemetery to visit my great-grandparents' graves. Introduced my kids to them.

We were able to spend time with my grandparents. I haven't seen them in a year. Here is my grandma Sheron.

And my grandpa Arlen.

We made it to Salina in time for the parade. So we tagged along and found many more family members I haven't seen for ages!! You can tell my kids were really into the experience....they couldn't wait for the candy. It was so good to see all if them! I wish we could have had more time, but I will take what I got!  Love these people!

Night ended at my parents' house. The kids asked if we could get fireworks. My mom said the neighbor across the street always did them. The kids started outside to watch... But almost as soon as the loud ones started, they were back inside and this was their view. Glad we didn't go buy our own. I stayed outside with my parents and was treated to a show just as good as a city show. It was great.

Our vacation has just begun. I can't wait to get on with it and enjoy more time with our friends and family who live so far away from us.
