...but it wasn't what I thought it would be. I got to drive in a monsoon storm.
I walked out of work tonight (about 3 hours later than planned) and this is the site that greeted me. It was a very hard downpour.
Of course, I had on flip-flops. The only way to get to my car was to jump in the puddles. I hope my shoes make it.
Normally I would be excited to drive in the rain. This is the time I finally walked out of the office, which made it dark outside. Driving in the rain when it is dark, watching it blow in a horizontal direction and coming down pretty hard, was a little scary. I could see the water blowing across the freeway and I could feel my tires slide a little. And the HUGE lightening bolts were cool. Needless to say, I was driving slowly and trying not to be nervous. Wimp. But I made it home safely, where there was not a drop of water to be seen. Figures.
