How can you not love these faces?!? My kiddos love their cousin JJ, and I'm so glad was have a current picture of them them together and they are all smiling! Cute monkeys!
The Easter Bunny pooped on our floor. After a discussion about the true meaning of Easter, the kids walked into the living room and were a little shocked at what they saw. It was great. The kids loved all the places the Bunny hid things... especially in the middle of my music book. I think they had fun finding all the Easter treats the Bunny hid for them to find. Some things were pretty well hidden. :)
BrookLynn found some sour patch kids. I love her face. Then she and Ashton were seeing who could tolerate the sourness better...it was a toss-up.
ALL the kids found eggs... even JJ. Some of the eggs were very well hidden and it took the kids awhile to find them. Mike just stood back and watched for awhile, while Nick took pictures to document the mad dash to locate things.
Those present at a yummy dinner was: Alissa, John and JJ; Nathan, Erica and Sophie; Bart and Stephanie; Mike and Jocelyn; Nick, me and the kids.
Ashton and Cailee decided they needed to go home, but Brookie stayed behind with us. She was lucky and ended up playing with JJ for quite a long time! He is getting to the fun and interactive stage. You can tap your hand on the floor and he will mimic you. He gets very excited and loves the game. He is also getting quite mobile. Brookie had him following her and mimicking her all over the floor. His smile was so big and they were so much fun to watch! I'm so glad my kids have one cousin that is close. Family is so important to me. Even though he is so much younger than they are, I'm still glad they are able to have this association early on.
And the shot of Ashton is from his afternoon outing with Nick and Mike while we were at the movie. They ended up outside the Chicago Cubs spring training field. I love his pose... They also went to a few other 'manly' places. I'm glad they were able to spend the time with Mike while he is in town while we stole Jocelyn. These visits family are few and far between, so I love it when we can make the most of their time here.
Happy Easter.
