~Day 2• 150-151: Bathroom's full!!

Two posts today.  I was too tired yesterday to finish.  So here goes..

Yesterday I woke up to the two oldest playing the dance game on the Wii.  It was fun to watch them get into their moves.

Cailee started taking some medication yesterday, and it comes in pill form.  The kids were really great about rallying around her and encouraging her.  This was the first pill she has tried to swallow.  We tried water, chewed food, ice cream with chocolate syrup... nothing worked.  Nick finally found something that worked, and it was applesauce.  I was so proud of her!  I'm sure she will get enough practice to be able to take one with water.  But right now, we will invest in applesauce.  Good job, Beans!

I had an appointment in the morning, and after I went to Goodwill.  It was another 50% off day.  Cailee decided she wants a desk in her room like her big sister.  I was hoping to find another steal like I did for Brookie.  There was not a desk, but I did find two chairs I have been searching for.  Once for Brookie's desk and another for my sewing corner (whenever I get it set up).  I also found two games.. Apples to Apples was nearly new, and Sequence was brand new... paid a buck for Sequence!  I've wanted it for awhile.  The whole trip only cost me under $7.  Not bad.

I had lunch with Jenn yesterday!  It's been a long time since I"ve seen her, so we had some catching up to do.  We started with lunch at Blue 32, then we ran some errands. It was so nice sitting and talking with her! I had to try getting a picture and we did that in her car.  My arms are so short that when I tried to get a good picture, my camera was blocked by the rear  mirror.  That's what the bottom right picture is... trying to be viewed through the mirror.  Poor short arms...

Before bed, the kids found me.  The heat had wiped me out, so I was laying down.  It started out with one kid snuggling me.  Then another came in... eventually all three were there.  They didn't stay quiet though.  We all got a little bit goofy.  Of course I had to pull out the camera to take some fun pics!

The highlight was when Beans ran out of my room.  She needed to use the bathroom.  But she ran back in and said, "Bathroom's full!" and ran into my bathroom.  lol she sounded so cute! It made all of us bust up laughing.  I'm sure it was more funny to those of us in the room, but oh well.  We love our beans!

I also made the mistake of introducing a stupid saying I learned in school.  Rubbing someone elses head while saying, "my butt itches."  That was always a dumb insult and for some reason I thought about it.  Of course the kids had to go to it to daddy.  So Brookie got him...

Day 151:  The day was very relaxed, I think.  I was in bed for most of the day.  I was so exhausted from the heat yesterday.  But when I got up, the kids were being quiet.  Cailee was in the living room laid out on two chairs playing the xbox.  Brookie was having a tea party.  Cailee had one earlier, so she had to show me her set up.  And Ashton was content to read on his bed.

Closer to tonight, they all ended up playing the xbox together.  We have three office  chairs now, so they think they get to sit on them all the time... when the newness wears off, the chairs will stay where they belong, and not in the living room.

Tonight after our gourmet dinner of mac n' cheese and ramen noodles, (i had no energy to cook still) we played a short game of Apples to Apples.  It was fun!  I decided I need to be on the lookout for the Jr. version.  I think they would have more fun playing that.  They didn't know what some of the cards were.  It was still fun!

I need to mention that I had my great visiting teachers come over today.  Janece and Alyssa came for a visit and helped me out while they were here.  I was an emotional wreck when they came over.  I had let the MS get to me because I was laid up again.  I usually don't let the MS get to me, but today it did.  I actually broke down and cried.  They helped me fold some laundry and pick up my kitchen a bit.  What wonderful ladies!  They didn't care what the state of my person or my house was.  They were more concerned about what they could do to help me.  I love them dearly for it. So it was nice to have someone there to cry to and love me.   I know the MS will get worse as time goes on.  I need to accept that and deal with it better.  But I know I will still have days like today.  It's nice to know I have people in my life who are there for me when I need it.

~Day 2• 149: Mostly Bug...

Goofy Cailee was doing some kind of frost ing dance... she had a little packet of frosting and was dancing and singing and hugging the thing all over the kitchen.

My picture turned out blurry because I was in a hurry to take it.  The kids went to their first summer movie today with their awesome babysitter and her family.  Her m o m is so great to take my kids along with things she does with her own kids.  They are really excited to start going to these.

Bug came over to play for awhile tonight.  He sure is cute and so much fun.  He isn't feeling very well, but we managed to get a few smiles out of him!  First thing Ashton did was make him smile.  We were having a fun little game for a bit and it was so cute!

One of his favorite things to do is sit with Uncle Nick and look at the fish tank.  He also loves it when his cousins talk to him.  Cailee loves to give him hugs and Brookie likes to make him laugh.  It's cute to watch him try to touch the fishies through the glass.  He didn't try to swim in the tank tonight like he did last time he was over... i'm sure he would jump in if we let him...

Poor little man... he started to get a little fussy so Nick just sat with him for awhile.  They just rocked and talked a little.  We would hear a little squeak come out of him every once in awhile.  He was just content to sit with his uncle.  He started to get a little more cranky, so we decid ed it was time to take him home and put him in his bed.

Almost as soon as we walked in their house, he got excited and started to perk up.  We think he just wanted to be home!  He immediately crawled down the hall to visit the puppies.  We kept calling him and trying to get him to come back to us, but he would just turn around and grin at you and then continue on his way.  The stinker.  He knew what he was doing!

Then it was funny when he disappeared into the other room for a minute... he wasn't in there long, but it was funny to see him disappear and then reappear lol

He didn't last long after that.  I got him ready for bed and laid him down.  I hope he feels better tomorrow!  It was nice to spend some time with him.  When I left, Alissa and I stood outside for a little while, just chatting.  It was nice to visit.  I should have come home and gone to bed, but here I sit at 12:45 AM.  Not smart, especially when I have to be up early for an appointment tomorrow.  I really need to stop scheduling things early on Saturdays...

~Day 2• 148: ....to win!

Bunco night. My turn to host. I was getting stuff ready last night and I think it went well. I took over someone else's house and a lot of ppl helped by bringing tables and chairs. I can't host at my house because there is nowhere for my family to go. So it's nice when others let me use their homes.

It was another fun night! We were missing a few ladies and gained a couple and it was fun. I don't know what happened but for some reason it is as my night. I ended up with the high scores in the top three categories lol of course I don't get three prizes, but it was still fun! And we had yogurt covered pretzels. Yogurt, not chocolate. That means they were healthy. Bunco night does not include calories. It's just a rule.

A few of us stayed behind and talked for awhile and that was nice too. I have a dentist appointment early tomorrow, so I  really should have left early. It is nice to be out once in awhile tho. Who needs sleep anyway?

Only another month until we meet again. The countdown begins again...

~Day 2• 147: Get Ready...

Tomorrow is Bunco night. I get to host. This is me getting ready. I haven't had a lot of time and tomorrow I will have no time. It's going to be the biggest low-key event in Bunco history. Oh well. Hopefully it will be as much fun as last month! I've been looking forward to going again since the day after last time. Love Bunco night!

~Day 2• 146: Hm. More Cailee Beans?

The last few days it looks like a Cailee-fest.  I'm not purposely taking pictures of her exclusively, somehow it just seems to be that way lately.  I'll fix that.  But in the meantime, more Beans.

She and I went to yet another doctor appointment today.  I haven't said much about what is going on with her, but hopefully things will slow down a little for us and her doc visits will cease to be every week. Today was at the pediatrician, and we came to the decision to start little Beans on some meds for A D H D.  We have been trying some things before going straight to the meds.  But it is evident that she really does need them.  There is no shame in taking medication. I take it for various reasons: ADD being one of them.  Poor kid had to inherit that from her mom.  The thing that Nick and I are worried about is that the meds will make our Cailee disappear.  She is so fun and spunky and full of energy... we don't want to lose her.  So finding the right medication is going to be hard.  We will see what happens.  Hopefully we will start this weekend, if the  insurance cooperates.  Dumb Pre-Auths and pre-certifications.  I hope they aren't going to make us jump through stupid hoops just to try the medication I want.  It is kind of hard to say that my 7 year old needs this help, but honestly, if it will help her in the long run, I am all for it.  It's a double-edged sword.  We will see... We sure love our Beans.  I hope the medication helps her where she needs it. School being the most vital thing right now. She needs to focus more so she gets where she needs to be academically.

Part of what I love about her is when she gets in the mood to help.  A lot of times those moods are few and far between.... but every once in awhile she will be so excited to help with something.  Tonight she asked to help make dinner.  Our dinner was extremely fancy.  "Unsloppy Joes."  Manwich that is cooked in the middle of refrigerator biscuits.  Thrilling, I know.  Tonight they turned out like large cow-pie looking things.  My stuff never turns out pretty.  Oh well.  It was fun having the help from someone with that sweet angelic face.  Don't let it fool you...

~Day 2• 145: Cailee belongs in the Grossology exhibit

Happy Memorial Day!  First off, I am SO thankful for all those who have served our country.  Especially my brother, Loren; two grandpa's; an uncle; and only yesterday, I saw a WWI draft card for my g-grandpa Arlie Campbell, I had no idea.  So special that I am related to these amazing men.  Thank you so much.

I had planned on taking it easy today, but that didn't happen.  The kids got up and played Mine craft together this morning.  Then they moved on to Harry Potter Scene it.  Then they were good kids and cleaned up their rooms so we could go to the Science Center.  The kids absolutely love it there.  For the last 3 years I have been fortunate to find a Groupon deal for a yearly membership.  It has made it affordable to go.  Each time we go, we spend 3-5 hours there.  The kids never seem to get tired of going.  Sometimes it is hard for me to just let them go because I just stand there and make sure they don't terrorize others, or others don't terrorize them.  But it's fun to watch them be so excited.  Nick decided he didn't want to go with us, so he stayed home and cleaned up the garage.  Then went golfing.  We missed him, but I'm grateful he cleaned up the garage.

Today we started out seeing a show in the Planetarium.  It was a trip through our solar  system.  Cailee was not very thrilled to go, but the other two were.  Ashton answered quite few questions from the presenter.  I got motion sick from flying through the galaxy, but it was fun!

The kids have a couple of favorite rooms.  The first one is the mechanical room.  They get to experiment with all sorts of things. They love to spin around on the turny-thingy.  I get dizzy watching them!  My favorite is the iron dust exhibit.  I can stand and watch that thing all day.  It plays music and the iron dusters dance to the music.  It's really cool!

I finally coaxed the kids to lay on the bed of nails.  I actually had to force Ashton to get on the table.  He decided it was really quite comfortable.

The kids like to test their strength with the pulleys.  You sit on the chair and try to pull yourself up.  There is a hard, harder and hardest pull, depending on the placement and type of pulleys.  They all did very well.

There is also a large tug-of-war pull where the rope is placed in two different places, up high or in the middle.  it's nearly impossible to pull the one in the middle.  Ashton liked to try tho.  He kicked my butt.

We spent a little while building a pipe trail for the ping pong ball to run along.  Brookie and Cailee really enjoyed that.  I even had fun figuring out where to place the tubes.

Then we went into the current exhibit running.  We don't go to a lot of the exhibits because they cost extra.  The girls talked me into it.  The exhibit is the Grossology Exhibit.  And it contained stuff that is gross.  Cailee and Brookie climbed on the rock  wall of skin irritations-warts, scabs, scrapes.  Yup.  It gets better.  Cailee climbed up the mouth steps, went down the slide that led to the stomach, and then came out the lower intestines.  Yes, she came out as poo.  nice.

Then the girls went over to the 'fake toot' station.  This imitated someone farting.  Different types.  It was great.  The kids were also able to shoot booger balls into a giant nose.  Then the nose proceeded to sneeze them out.  Cailee loved it.

We also played a game where we could answer questions about the gross things your body does.  The kids answered a lot of questions correctly!  We played a pinball machine that was basically our digestive  system.  Brookie scored over 100k points!  Then they got to hear a large water faucet tell you about the different things your nose does.  It had a large drop of snot come out of his nose.  It was great.

The highlight was the smelling station... You had to squeeze a plastic container and it let out a bodily smell.  You had to identify what that smell was.  I only smelled one thing before I walked away.  Smelly feet was enough.  I really didn't want to smell someone's armpit...or worse.

I'm not sure why this exhibit was brought in.  I'm glad we got it out of the way and don't have to go in again.  So gross.

The other favorite room is the Forces of Nature.  Specifically the water and sand station.  You can build dams and rivers and watch the way the water erodes their creations.  The kids also love the digital room.  Computers and electronics... stuff they just love.

On the way out of the center, we had to stop at the music station.  The kids can experiment with a couple different musical things.  Not very exciting.  Then they stopped at the  flight station... they can make paper airplanes and try to fly them through hoops.  And the last stop we made was the water  patio.  Lots of different water  fountains you can interact with.  You can watch big plastic balls shoot up into the air, musical instruments played by water... it's nice and cool when it gets hot.

When we were just about to the exit, the girls walked over a vent that was blowing cool air.  They liked that almost as much as the real science displays.  They liked having their skirts blown up...

We stopped and picked up some lunch on the way home.  We decided that Cailee belongs back in the Grossology exhibit.  That little stinker (literally) just giggles every time her little bum toots.  We were about to turn around and put her on display for the fart station.  When we got home, the kids had to lay down for a little while.  The girls both fell asleep.  They needed it.  Nick had gone golfing while we were at the center, and when Cailee woke up, she was happy to see Daddy.  She was trying to talk him into going to Top Golf tonight.  Nice try, but not on a holiday.  She is sure cute trying to convince him though...

We ended up getting dinner and a movie.  We rented Guardians of the Galaxy again.  The girls ditched us for their rooms.  That's ok.. they have a movie to watch tomorrow.  I ended up getting the first "Pitch Perfect."  I'm a little slow, but it was so good!  Nick ditched me because he says he was tired... I just know he was too shy to really get into the movie so he had to leave.  Now I can't wait to see the next one.  Soon...

It was a fun day.  The kids all kept telling me thank you for taking them, and thank you for that.  I love that they really do have good manners and are really thankful for the things we do with them.  It was fun spending time with them.  Love these monkeys.

~Day 2• 144: Family time today

Cailee came to sweet-talk daddy into something for breakfast.  She got teased and tickled instead.  Love her laugh.

Then tonight we played a game as a family.  I love Goodwill.  I have scored a few different "Scene It" games.  I have not paid more than 3 bucks per game.  Tonight we played the Jr. version.  It was fun.  Cailee and daddy kicked butt.  All the kids did well and we all had fun.  Ashton is already talking about us playing the Harry Potter version tomorrow.  They sure love to play games.  Love these cute kiddos!

~Day 2• 143: Recitals and movies and pools , oh my...

Cailee loves to laugh.  Sometimes she begs you to tickle her.  And most of the time we oblige her.  I love her laugh.  I also love when she entertains herself.  She was playing with her barbies on my new sewing table... i'm glad the table is getting some use.  I still need to make room for it and put it up.  It was a killer  deal and I'm excited to use it.  In the meantime... have at it, Cailee!

Today was another busy day.  Brookie was off playing with friends (see below) and so it was just me and Nick and Ashton and Cailee.  Ashton and Nick decided to go see the new Avengers movie.  So Beans and I went to see the movie "Home."  It was really cute.  She and I followed Nick and Ashton to the movie in our car (yes, i was stopped), but we got there almost an hour early.  So she and I ran to Hobby Lobby to pick up some things for Bunco next week. She is so much fun.  She loved walking up and down the isles looking at all the different items.  She loved giving her input on what I should buy or not buy.  And of course she wanted a whole bunch of stuff.  She has enough stuff... we didn't buy anything for us today.  Bummer.  But while we were checking out, she told me to hurry or we wouldn't get a good seat for the movie.  I tell my kids that lol it was funny.  And yes, we cut it way too close.  We got good seats, but we were lucky.

When we came out of the theater, the misters were on.  She had fun playing in them for awhile.  She said it was cold and she was so wet.  I thought it felt great.  It was a fun  afternoon!

So, Brookie.  She was invited to sleep over at a friend's  house last night.  It was a bday sleepover.  She had so much fun!  They played games outside and had yummy treats and watched a fun movie.  From what I understand, BrookLynn was one of the last girls to stay up and a first one to wake up. Sounds like her.

This morning  and into the afternoon it was on to the pool party.  There were a lot of kids there from her school  class.  She had a blast!  She wanted to stay and have more fun, but we had to get ready for the recital later.  The party looked like a lot of fun! (and I totally hijacked a bunch of pictures.  I have no shame.  I wanted to show what Brookie did today. Thanks Zina!)

Recital night!  The kids have been taking piano now for a year and this is their first recital.  I know, they started really late in their short lives.  Well, Brookie and Ashton did anyway.  But they are doing so well!  Cailee was excited for it.  She asked every day this week how much longer until the recital day.  I think she was more excited about the yummy treats that were to be had after they were done.  So proud of these kids!

Each kiddo played a solo (Cailee did 2 solos) and then Brookie and Ashton played a duet.  It was great!  I'm one proud mommy.

The theme of the recital was 'An Out of This World Performance.'  What a cute idea!  They each received their very own space ship that had candy and treats in it.  So fun!

The kids' piano teacher, Jonah, has done a wonderful job with them this year.  He teaches a bunch of kiddos from our ward.  I'm so impressed with him... he is 13! Way to go kids!  Love you all!

Now I'm ready for the cranky kids tomorrow.  This always happens when they have a lot going on during the day.  So here's hoping they are more pleasant tomorrow than they were last week!

~Day 2• 142: Allll byyyy myselllllfff

Yup. That's me alone at my office. At 8 pm at night.  Luckily you can't see my chipmunk cheek from the tooth fun I had Wednesday.

And yes, that is my vehicle parked all alone. Fiscal month ends suck. It was just me and my coworker heather for a long time at the office. Rina was there for a long time too. Heather lives in another state, so it was kind of nice to have some company while she is in town. There didn't seem like a lot of work to really finish up, but sometimes stuff takes longer than you think. And then you forget to finish something that needs finishing. Bleh. OH and it didn't help that I lost a day when I had surgery in Wednesday.  That was great timing.

Next month is the end of the fiscal year. I just hope things are better then. If not, I might leave the office by midnight if I'm lucky. But I'm so glad I have a job. And I really do enjoy what I do.

~Day 2• 141: oh, Beans

Another appointment today. Cailee fell asleep on the way there. Of course she had to look over the balcony. Then we had to climb up the little wall. She can almost reach the balcony...

On another note, it's the last day of school today. Ick. Now comes the fun summer of trying to keep them busy. Yay for neighbor kids and a great babysitter!

~Day 2• 140: Thrilling Day

I woke up this morning to a quiet house. Shocking. Each kid was quietly entertaining themselves in their own way. Then Cailee changed her clothes after school. Thrilling outfit, don't you think?

Nick was great and stayed home with me today. I had a little oral surgery done today. Mouth crap. Story of my life. I went under full sedation so I needed a driver. Doesn't he look thrilled? Just about as thrilling as my face did after. Nice and numb and swollen. Happy day!

~Day 2• 139: slow picture day

Picture desperation here. I received a new toy in the mail. I broke down and bought a diffuser. I have an oil that I want to try with the kids and have heard good things about this method. We will see.  If nothing else, it makes pretty colors.

~Day 2• 138: excitement

The kids came home from piano lessons tonight eager to show me what songs they were going to perform at their first recital on Saturday. They did very well! Of course I forgot to get a picture of Beans playing her song. She did offer to help me make dinner tonight. The kids don't offer very often, so I was excited for the help. I look forward to hearing them play this Saturday. I just hope they realize they actually need to practice between now and then...

~Day 2• 137: I'm not a panda, I'm a badger!

You hear some interesting things from your kids.  From my room, I heard Ashton tell one of the girls that he wasn't a panda.  He's a badger.  I have no idea what game they were playing, but it made me laugh.

When I came out of my room, this is what I saw.  Cailee had set up some kind of city in her room.  I think she was trying to find some music to listen to.  Brookie fell asleep watching something on the iPad.  She needed it.  She had a big day yesterday, including staying up till about 10 working on her room with me.  Ashton was either reading or listening to something.  That blanket he has on is a huge wool blanket. Like it's cold here or something.

Today was very uneventful.  Hopefully this week will stay uneventful.

~Day 2• 136: Panties!

Made you look! This little silly girl was really on one today. I was helping her sort her laundry and every time I picked up a pair of her little panties she would get hysterical and just laugh and laugh and laugh. She kept this going for at least a half an hour. I don't know what the big joke was but she obviously thought there was something hilarious. Lol I love her smile and her laugh!! Goofball.

Today was extremely busy. Started off with me going to a doctor thingy. Nick was able to 18 holes of golf. And then later in the afternoon all three kids each had a separate birthday party to go to.  So I spent the majority of my day running them back and forth to and from this place to that place. They had such a great day though. Brookie  was able to go to chuckle e cheese. Ashton went to Ian's and said it was the best birthday party he has been to. And Cailee got to go across the street to our cute little neighbor's party. (Forgot to get a picture)

They all had a great day. Until I made them work on their rooms. The girls finally have a semi clean room. They are getting there. They did work hard. We'll see how long it lasts.

~Day 2• 135: the views

My fabulous view first thing in the morning was the dentist chair. It was my 6 mth check up. Not all was well in dental land. I get oral surgery next week. Haha I'm stoked.

Then I went home and tried to work from home. The internet had other plans. So I ended up at the office. I was so tired that at lunch I actually went to my vehicle and slept for awhile. I never do that. I woke up to a great storm. I love the rain here. There was a little bit of blue sky, but not much. It's supposed to be sunny tomorrow. Too bad.

~Day 2• 134: look at those faces

Sitting in a doctor office waiting room... Must take selfie. And play in the corner.

That calls for a library run.  So many smiles and books.  You can never have enough of either.

~Day 2• 133: I found....

I found.... one Bean on her floor.  That was last night.  I went to check on her before I went to bed, and I found her there, she seemingly rolled off her bed.  Luckily her room was destroyed and her clean clothes were on the floor.  I'm sure it was a soft landing because she didn't wake up.  She was amused when I showed her the picture this morning.

I found.... a box that was delivered to me from my sweet friend Mindy.  It was full of oils.  I'm not really 'in to' the oils, but some of them intrigue me.  I do have two already that seem to work, so she set me up with some more to try.  I am actually more open-minded than I have been to some of them.  I'm not going in 100%, but I will try some to see if they help.  What a great surprise, though!  Thanks Mindy!

I found.... 3 little monkeys hiding on the bed.  None rolled off and bumped their heads... in fact, they were under the blanket watching some you tube v ideo on one of their favorite games.  Nick and I could hear them laughing and screaming and having fun.  I love those sounds.  I went in and turned on the light and got in trouble because it was ruining their ambiance.  Duh mom.  Lights out.

Now... I'm going to find my bed.  4 AM yesterday morning is catching up to me.  I think I need to be horizontal for awhile.  I'm excited to see what I'll find tomorrow...

~Day 2• 132: Attack of the killer fish

Poor Brookie. She got sick about 4 am this morning. She threw up several times before school started. So I kept her home. It was hard. Today was her field trip to Butterfly Wonderland. She had been looking forward to this for so long. I wish I had known she would be perfectly fine after a few hours. She was up and playing, but then she passed out on the couch. I'm glad I kept her home, but am still sad she missed the trip. She seems to be fine to go to school tomorrow. Especially since she never had a fever.

Then we tried to get the fish to attack our hands. If you submerge your hand in the fish tank, the clowns come up to attack you. They don't hurt, but it's still very startling when they dart up to attack you! Both Brookie and I had to try it after Nick did. Simple pleasures... Tease the bully fish. And enjoy it.

~Day 2• 131: My Living Room

No electronics today... By choice. This is what the girls chose to do instead. They made a city for their barbies. I love it when they play well together. And I love when they create on their own.

~Day 2• 130: Happy Mother's Day!

It was a good mother's day today.  I was able to sleep in, get loves from my kiddos and get some great mother's day gifts.  Nick gave me an early give the other day of the serger.  I'm excited to try it!  The kids gave me cards and coupons and a new Hydro Flask water bottle.  They also let me take a nap after church and Nick cooked dinner.  I received a lot of hugs and kisses and it was a great day!  I love being a mom.  And I love my mom, too.  I talked with her for awhile tonight.  I truly love that I can talk to her on a daily basis.  I know I take it for granted.  I love her so much.

~Day 2• 129: All over the place

We were all over the place today.  It started out with Nick going to take pictures of a HS senior early this morning.  He was out the door before I woke up.  After I got up and got ready to go, I took Ashton to his friend Ian's house for a few hours.  He got to go to Ian's soccer game, and then spent a few hours playing before they brought him home.  Cailee went to play down the street until dad got home.  And Brookie was at Bridget's all day.  I think everyone had a good day.  Especially Cailee... above she is playing a video game all by herself. It's a two player game... I think she prefers that. Nick asked her when she wanted Brookie to come home, and she said, 'Never, so I can have her bed and all her things.'  A loving sister!

She was also lucky to get ice cream tonight with dad.  She went with him and was in seventh heaven when we let her eat in the living room on a towel.  She went to bed with no questions.  It was a good night.

Oh, and I was at the family history day for the majority of the day. It was great. (see below)

These two are inseparable a lot of the time.  Brookie slept over last night, and then spent the entire day with Bridget!  She did a lot of activities and was sure wired when she got home.  The girls had to show us their tricks.  Goof balls.  Ashton was trying to get in on the fun, but I don't think he is a flexible as the girls... so we made him sit back and just watch.  I was glad that Brookie had a good day, and thankful she has good friends she can spend time with.  All of the kids do.  It's a nice feeling.

My day was spent at the Family Discovery day.  It was so good!  I went to three classes to learn more about what I need to do for family history.  I went to one on digitizing your documents.  Another one about where to find different records.  And the third one was on what to do and where to look when I've hit a brick wall.  Everything was so informative!  I also was able to help a little in the 'hands-on' room where there were a bunch of computers set up.  There were many volunteers there, but not as many people came as they had hoped.  I think the weekend was bad.  Hopefully the next time they have it, it will be well attended.

I took so many notes today, that my hand was tired.  It was fun.  But the highlight was  what happened in between my classes.  Since it was slow, I logged in to my FamilySearch account.  I have one family line that just stopped, and I have been trying to find anyone on that line.  And one record that had duplicates I was trying to iron out.  With the help of our friend Taylor, I was able to get rid of the duplicates and got one name ready for the temple.  My first one!  I can't tell you how excited I was and I can't fully describe the feeling that came over me when I got that person ready to go.  I had this overwhelming feeling of joy and I felt it through my whole body.  Of course I cried, because that is what I do.  But what an amazing experience when I realized I helped someone get one step closer to being able to move on in the next life.  It was incredible.  I have heard stories of other people having these kind of experiences while doing family history.  What a blessing it was to get my own special experience.  It makes me want to work that much harder to find more  family members on the other side.  Family history is such an incredible blessing to so many people, both in this life and the next.
