JJ and 'Sa came to visit tonight. There was a knock on the door and the little man was just sitting there waiting to come play. Unfortunately, two of the three monkeys were gone. Brookie was at Activity Days and Ashton was at scouts.
JJ enjoyed watching the fish with Uncle Nick and then playing IN the fish tank. I'm sure he would jump in if we let him. It was funny.
The kids got home and of course JJ gravitated toward Brookie. He sure has the talent of moving fast. I couldn't believe how quickly that kid could pivot and go the other direction. Cute little Bug! And alissa took a bunch of books off my hands. I went through our books and got rid of most books my kids have out grown. I kept a few of my favorites for when JJ comes to visit.
And yes, I am very talented. I can cut out a square without using a pattern. I can thread my sewing machine needle all by myself. And finally, I can sew all the way around the square in a straight line. Yes. I'm just that talented.
What did I make? Those brown squares are a bunch of cut up towels. They are going to be used for dry erase marker erasers. Cailee said her teacher needs some more erasers. And last year someone gave her teacher a bunch of these type of erasers. Somehow they keep disappearing. Not sure sure why... Not with 20 7 year olds into everything. Cailee was so bent on getting more erasers for her teacher. So I took it upon myself to make a bunch. Took longer than I thought and my sewing machine wasn't as scary as I thought it was. The only drawback is all those little brown bits of towel. They were everywhere! The look like little bugs.... Ick. I hope they work. And I hope Cailee is ok with giving these to her teacher in appreciation for all she has done this year. She has been amazing with Cailee.
And now this super talented sewer is going to bed.... Leaving the little 'bugs' on the floor till tomorrow. I'm not vacuuming tonight. I hope the bugs don't scare the children...
