~Day 2• 61: If your house is topsy turvies...

...or something like that.  Dr. Suess has it right.  What would I give for 'Thing 1' and 'Thing 2' to come and clean my house? Oh yeah, I have Thing 1, 2 and 3.  and I love them all!  It was raining today and I worked from home.  It was a dreary day, but I loved sitting with the window open watching and listening to the rain.  I picked up the kids from the bus stop and we went to Sonic for their Happy Hour.  It was a fun little treat I think.

Tonight was the kids' Literacy Night at their school.  It had a Dr. Suess theme.  It was a lot of fun!  Brookie found one of her good friends and they were inseparable most of the night.  The kids were figuring out what stations they wanted to go to in the top right picture.  We went to play Bingo first. Both Cailee and Ashton got a BINGO and were super excited.

The second stop was int he cafeteria for cake, punch and a Dr. Suess movie.  It was fun!  Brookie's teacher was dressed up as The Lorax.  and Then brookie got to put on the glasses too.  So fun!  And THEN we got to see Miss Mimi dressed up as the Cat in the Hat.  Their school is so great!

Our last stop was the library.  There was a book fair conveniently happening at the same time.  The kids could make some bookmarks (Brookie made about 4) and then the kids were free to wander around and pine over all the books they wanted.  I let them choose one each.  I found one that I needed for myself.  "Mouseton Abbey." Downton Abbey  scenes done with mice.  Classic!

After the kids went to bed, I headed out to grocery shop and pick up supplies for the kids' lunches.  It was hard to go out since I was exhausted, but it had to be done.  I chose a good time to go because I had the store basically to myself.  I wandered up and down the isles pretty slowly.  And now I have sat up past midnight.  I never learn.  The kids had fun, so that was the important part of the day.  Love my monkeys.
