~Day 345: Behold Thy Handmaiden...

Tonight was our Relief Society Christmas dinner and program.  It was excellent! We had a catered dinner by a brother in the ward and the Young Men were our waiters. The food was fabulous and the men so helpful!  The company around the table was fun too.  It's so fun to talk with these ladies in our ward. It was great!

The program was centered on Mary, the mother of Jesus. We had different speakers and music. The highlight for me was the little program at the end where my good friend Carey read a story about Mary and then little kids dressed in clothing from Jesus' time period came in and out depicting different times in Jesus' life. I lost it (meaning I cried. A lot) when the first child came out. In each scene, the kids were carrying a white cloth. The cloth was present during different times in Mary's life. The birth of Christ.  Signicant times during His life and her life. And then with her at the end of His life when he suffered and died for us. The story Carey wrote was so beautiful. It's something I'm going to keep for a long time.

Each table was decorated with its own Nativity.  It was so beautiful.

The whole room was so wonderful.  The women who put this together were truly inspired. The spirit was strong. People kept asking me if I was ok.  Lol I just wish I wasn't an ugly cryer. It was also nice to talk to different women after everything was over. It's nice to catch up with people.

This is a very special night. I'm so glad I went.
