Today Brookie and I made an unexpected trip to the urgent care. Brookie had been having pains for quite awhile and today after church she seemed to be in a lot more pain than usual. I had her bring a book because I didn't know how long we were going to wait. Turns out we got right in. Didn't have to wait long at all. It wouldn't matter if she had a book or not tho. She wouldn't have read it anyway. She can't sit still to save her life. Cute girl.
The doctor wanted to give Brookie a breathing treatment to rule out pneumonia. Thank goodness it wasn't. But that breathing treatment of albuterol made her SO hyper. She was jumping from chair to chair and up and down on the examination bench. Turning circles on the doc bench. She was out of control.
After the breathing treatment didn't improve the pain, she had an X-ray. This was very telling. I'm not going into detail here. I just wanted the picture saved on my blog for reference purposes. The doc gave us a treatment plan and meds to help. Hopefully Brookie will start feeling better soon. Poor girl.
I don't usually take pictures during sacrament meeting at church, but Nick was working out of town and could not be here for the Christmas song the primary kids did. Ashton had a speaking part and he did so well! All the kids did well! I made a video of their song and sent to Nick so he could hear it.
This is a view of a clean sink and clean counters. My sweet neighbor, Kristie, surprised me tonight by coming over and doing my dishes for me. What an unexpected blessing! I have been struggling a lot lately and have felt like I am drowning. I just get overwhelmed. Instead of digging in and getting stuff done, I just sit and look at it. But that doesn't accomplish anything. Things just get worse. She came over and gave me something I can look at without being overwhelmed. I can start the week with some hope instead of dispair. I can handle those kind of unexpected experiences. I'm so grateful.
