~Day 346: So Many Firsts!

Today was full of firsts. Some exciting. Some fun. But all great!  Nick was offered a photography job out of state. I'm so excited and so proud! I hope more opportunities come for him. This is what he would like to do full time.  Although it will be hard to have him gone for a few days, I'm so happy for him.

I took the day off work so I could take him to the airport. I asked the desk if I could go to the gate with him.  They let me. And I was officially escorting a customer needing assistance.  I knew he needed help... Airport security confirmed it. Haha. Love him lots!

I don't know how he did it, but he fit a lot of his camera stuff into these bags. I hope he got everything. It was nice to sit with him for awhile. I almost cried. Almost. That's a big deal for me! Usually I'm overflowing. Tuesday can't come fast enough.

And this is where he gets to stay without me. Jerk.

This is the second annual cookie decorating party for the primary kids. My kids' first time going. They had fun! Lots of cookies and lots of toppings.

Each kid received three cookies to decorate. They loved it!

There is a park down the street from where the cookies were being decorated. All the kids ended up down there. Ashton doesn't get out and play physical sports much. I love seeing this. This is a first time getting pictures of him playing. I think he had fun.

Of course the girls found the swings. I know the pictures aren't the best because the girls are moving. But I love the look on Brookie's face! Both happy and a little concerned.

Cailee is always all smiles on the swing. She would live on those things if we let her. I'm just glad she can pump herself now and I don't have to stand there for an hour pushing her.

The girls were also having fun playing with a jump rope. Sister Kerr was so cute playing with them. The girls were jumping over a slithering snake, or something like that. It was cute.

I also got to play with the sweetest baby. My friend Julie was there with her cute kiddos. I was able to hold her little Joshua. He is so happy and fun! We had a lot of good conversations.

He also got to come over and stay with us for the first time. (I think it is the first) Jeff and Julie were going to do some Xmas shopping. Cailee loves the babies! He loved watching her and talking with her. It was cute when he fell asleep on me, too. Such a sweet thing.

Another first was Brookie going to a sleepover birthday party. She was so excited!  She had her doggie, her blanket from Grandma Wallace, her sleeping bag and pillow, and her new doll. I think she took half her room.  There was going to be 12 girls at that sleepover. I hope the mom is still alive tomorrow.

Since she was gone, the rest of us home got a movie to watch. We watched Mr. Peabody and Sherman. Cute movie. Plus we played with the baby.  It was a good night, even though I was minus two family members.  I miss them. And love them so much.
