Cailee got sick yesterday, so she stayed home from school today. I worked from home so I could be with her, and she was my little buddy for most of the day. We went to Walgreens to pick up a movie for her to watch. The first thing she sees are the stuffed animals. She wanted to take home the giant teddy bear. It was as big as she was. I didn't let her get the toy. Mean mom.
Then we stopped at Sonic to get my daily addiction drink, so she had a sprite to help her tummy. And when we got home, I started working again and she wanted to be near me, so she painted for awhile. She loves to paint and she did a good job on the cat she painted. It was fun having her near me and hear her talking.
And then she had to pull out the thermometer to check her temp. She didn't feel very well most of the day, but closer to the end of the day she perked up. She is my little sickie-- always getting sick with one thing or another.
Aunt 'Sa and JJ came by on their way to the store. So we walked with them. Cailee was definitely feeling better because she was outside with Brookie and the neighbor kids. Ashton came out with us too and was riding his bike. They love going to the park down the street. They have started using it to ride their bikes down the hill. I love it when they go outside.
While we were in Walgreens to pick up some baby essentials, Nick asked JJ if he wanted a toy. (I didn't see the reaction, but I can imagine it looked something like the top right picture) Nick said that JJ just perked right up like "Yes! I would love a toy! Thank you Uncle Nick! I'm wrapped around your little finger. muahahaha" Nick handed him the little green ball-thingy and that kid would NOT let go of it for anything. Even when Nick put the huge glasses on his head, he still held the ball for dear life.
So glad we get to live down the street from them... for now. I'm sad we are going to be moving so we won't be able to go on these walks anymore.
