I just love the happy moments in life. I love to watch the kids learn and Nick is so good to help Cailee with her homework. They are going through her sight words. She does very well. It is fun to watch her get excited when she accomplishes something. I love pictures like this.
Then there are the 'other' happy moments. The ones when you are in one room and you hear one child in another room say, "She spit in my face." Oh, the joy. I'm so glad they love each other enough to share their bodily fluids. The kids were in the kitchen doing dishes after dinner. Nick and I left the kitchen (in true parent-torturing-children fashion) so the kids could complete the task and grow from the experience. And then I hear the 'spit' comment. Yes. I just love those moments.
