~Day 2• 11: Fun Day With Family

Today we went out to attend the blessing of baby Sophie, the daughter of Nick's cousin Nathan and his wife Erica. All of Nathan's siblings were down, as well as his parents and other family members.  It was good to see everyone!  They also got a picture of all of the men who stood in the circle.  Pretty special.

The picture I took of my kids was interesting.. they kept moving further away from each other, like they were allergic to being next to their siblings. You never know if they are going to be friends or not.

Sophie is so adorable!  What a good little miss she is.  JJ was there with his mom and dad, and he was so good today!  He gets cuter each time we see him.  There were a few other 'babies' there too.  Annette's grandbabies were fun.  Will and Cynthia's kids were there and it was sure fun to interact with them.  The little toy in the middle is identical to one we had for our kids when they were smaller.  The songs it played brought back memories of when our kiddos were tiny.

I was able to hold this cute little man for awhile.  He ended up falling asleep and drooling on me.  It was funny because he was awake one minute, then all of a sudden he just went limp and got a little heavier.  He was out for awhile.  And this kiddo is an oven.  Very warm body temp.  But it was so much fun to just sit and hold him!

He was so good today.  He was talking to me and Nick for quite awhile.  We blew bubbles, and I tried to get him to click his tongue at me, but he just watched me while I did it.  Such a sweet little man.  Cailee was able to get her 'JJ fix' today when she saw him at church.  We all got our fix.  It was fun.

After the sacrament meeting, my parents took the kids home.  When we returned from visiting with Nick's family, this is the view that greeted me.  They were all lying down, and Cailee was burrowed under her blankets again, asleep.  Much needed quiet time for everyone.

Tonight after dinner, the kids, grandparents and I played cards.  We played 'Explorers.' It's a game similar to one called 'Authors,' which i grew up playing.  You need to google these... they are basically Go Fish, but with stuff to learn while playing.  It was a lot of fun!  The kids want to play again tomorrow.  We will see how things go tomorrow.
