~Day 2• 14: "Mom, please start work early...

... So you can finish work early and spend time with us."  This is what Cailee told me this morning. She set up shop next to my work station this morning and was very content to keep me company for a few hours. Then tonight she decided she was daddy's girl. The turncoat.  She even had to nerve to bring me a tissue after so I could wipe her nose. I'm glad I'm needed. 

Tonight Nick and I took my parents to Joes Real BBQ. It's so good!  The kids got Sonic for dinner. They were thrilled. I was so caught up in the meal that I completely spaced taking a picture of us.  But I did take the time to get the stranger's head in a shot of our long line.  Yay me.  

I post pictures like this a lot. But I just love it when these kids want to read. Cailee is finishing her homework, but if there was time, I'm sure she would have been reading as well.
