~Year 2• Day 1: It is winter, after all.

Yes, that is snow in the mountains. Yes, that is Nick. Yes, that is me taking this fabulous picture. It rained a lot yesterday and it actually got cold enough that it snowed. There was a long line of cars on their way to the mountains. There were people out of their cars on the side of the road taking pictures with their phones and iPads. Nick brought out his big guns and got some good pictures. 

This is one of the pictures Nick took today. Beautiful. 

I love watching Nick work. He has an eye for things that I don't understand. It was also funny to see how many people were out taking pictures of the snow. Like they have never seen it before or something. 

The kids had fun wandering around outside today. They were playing Minecraft. I don't play the game, so I didn't understand what they were doing. They were cute though. 

Ashton came into the room this morning and had his new pants on. He was putting on warm clothes because we were going to see the snow. I was joking with him that we aren't supposed to have snow in Arizona. He said, "it is winter, after all."  Well duh. I wish I thought of that. 

Cailee said, "The red is so reddish, I like it. It's some of the prettiest red things I've seen." That's the overpass on the freeway.  Lol she appreciates a lot of things. 

"Thanks daddy!! Minty minty minty!" She got excited when daddy have her a mint. Cailee loves mints.  She is easy to please.  Sometimes. 

We finished watching a Harry Potter movie tonight . It was a scary part, and Cailee couldn't take it, so she hid. Brookie was biting her fingernails. And Ashton was trying to keep his mouth shut and not tell us what was going to happen.  

It was a fun day. I can't believe it's 2015. Happy new year.
