~Year 2• Day 5: Back to school is rough

Today was the first day back to school after a two week break. It was a little rough on everyone. Harder on some than it was for others. This is how I found Brookie. Fell asleep again while reading. 

You can tell that school is back in because there is school stuff all over the living room floor. 

And Nick and I had dinner somewhere without the kids. I didn't want to cook. Nick went to Five Guys while he was in California a few weeks ago. He said it was good. So we went in search of one here. We found it and it was loaded with Idaho potatoes. They were good potatoes, too. 

My sweet friend and neighbor brought me delicious dessert tonight. Oreo salted Carmel chocolate pie. So amazing! She said I could share with Nick, but I don't think I will. It was a rough day back from vacation and only chocolate will soothe things. (By rough, I mean that I had to wake up and get ready for the day and get the kids dressed and... and... and.... we couldn't just be lazy today.)  It was hard.
